Hi Tech Web Background

In this tutorial, you will learn how to create this hi tech looking web background.

1) Open up and new document of any size. I used 600 x 200. Fill the background with black. Go to Filter > Render > Lens Flare and place a flare in one corner. Do it again to place in other corners. It is not necessary to place in corners. You have to place them at considerable distances from each other.


2) Go to Filter > Sketch > Chrome and use the default settings. You should now have something like this.


3) Then, add a color balance layer and choose a color you want. I colored it green.


4) Go to Filter > Stylize > Extrude and use the default values. I got this.


5) Make a new layer and draw a white rounded rectangle on that layer.


6) Reduce the opacity to 25% or whichever else looks good and add a one pixel black stroke. Thats all you are done.


7) I have added some text to show how it looks.
